It also has an adhesive pad underneath it. Once the screws are out you'll just need to carefully pry it off.

There's something like 8 screws under the weatherstripping. That bar's not coming off without at least lifting up the weatherstripping.

It is next to impossible to remove the weatherstrip without damaging it. I have tried, and to be honest, I have only gotten about 1/2 of it off before RIP!!!

I am not saying its impossable but...

thanks guys...are the rest of the screws under the weatherstripping? besides the three i see on each side how many are under the rubber? see, i'm sure the damn thing is rusted underneath.. when it rains the water just drips in from the center bar...does siliconing the inside of the "T" help this? or is the water coming in from a seam in the t-bar?

I didn't think you could remove it with the headliner in place. Is this the case?

The headliner does not need to be removed to get out the black exterior center bar.

MY car would leak after I put in the new seals, and what I did was take some Silicone and seal up between the seal and the t-bar piece. and in the front and rear of the center bar. I no longer have leaks...

Use some masking tape to keep the silicone off what you want to keep it off...

You could also try and put some vaseline in the places where you think it is leaking in and if that fixes your leak then go ahead and silicone it.

THe Vasiline would probably work, but I have to ask myself, if I was to do this, how would I remove the Vasiline so the Silicone would stick?
