how do i fix the nose

Engine: 356 4-bolt
Transmission: Borg warner T-5
how do i fix the nose

i have an 86 z-28. the nose has paint chips. origionlly black the undercoating of yellow is now showing. do i repair like metal, or are there special methods for working on plastic?

If its just paint chips then you can work it more or less just like painting a metal body part, just remember that it flexes and take that into account when sanding. If you have actual cracks in the nose then use some 3M structural adhesive to bond it back together. Putty coat and sand over that just like you would anything else and you're ready for primer, sealer, and paint.

what grit sanding paper would u recommend for removing the paint? and what sealer do you recommend for plastic and metal.

but remember this; i dont have an air compresor and i dont have a paint gun.
