Wanting a Better Interior
I have finally got all my car problems fixed (knock on wood) and i would like to start on the interior. My carpet, doorpanels, ttop headliner, seats all are crap. they dont look too bad but i just would like new or good condition used things. any ideas on where to start first? where can i find cheap interior parts? plastic interior is fine just missing a few plastic screws but a friend has some so im not worried about that. oh and i have a overhead console from factory so i need to get a headliner i dont have to rigg up there. any ideas guys or anyone who has some parts they can part with for a decent price? like door panels below 100 dollars and a headliner for like i dunno 100 and carpet for 150? i dont know how much this runs so im just guessing. any suggestions would be great.:hail: :hail:

last time I checked for about $1000 you could get the pieces for an all new interior from 1A... I think it included headliner, carpets, door panels, and seat covers... not a bad deal.

I got a good condition headliner from a junkyard for $20
Are you looking for a more updated interior (i.e. 4th gen)? Or just better condition stock replacements?
I'd check out Hawks.

Fellow Dayton-area dweller,
Actually people have gotten fourth-gen panels to fit with a little modification... I can't remember what all it involves, but I do know that it looks sweet when it's done. Some people make custom flamed panels too, that looks pretty neat.

I've almost finished my interior resto project. EVERYTHING has been replaced. Well, actually about 99%, but that's not the point.
Here's the link to some pics.

If you're looking at swapping in 4th gen panels and consoles etc, that's cool, but keep your goal in mind. Are you looking to freshen up the interior while on a budget, or are you looking for a mint looking complete interior project? I started out thinking about doing a budget friendly "freshening" that turned into about $1400 bucks....and I'm still not quite done. My point is that it can get out of hand without you even realizing it!!!
Anywho...here's what I did.
Flawless "used" deluxe interior panels from IrocZdave out in Socal. Very cool guy to work with and GREAT prices. Limited selection though, I think he works outta his garage!
Seatcovers from Hawks...AND matching doorpanels. I can't say enough good things about Bruce Hawkins. I would highly recommend talking to Bruce if you're gonna get seats and or doorpanels.
Carpet from Yearone/ACC. Don't look for a good deal on used carpet. Spend the cash and do it right, you'll be glad you did.
Still need headliner.
Oh, and by the way, what color are you looking for?
Hope this has helped a little!

3rd gen interior
I was at the bone yard in San Diego last week and scored a whole new interior for $60.00. The front seats were 20 each and the fold down rear uppers were 5 each. Bottoms for the rear were also 5 each.
They look brand new. The T/A that I got them out of looked like it had never been driven much but had 171,000 on the odo, so I assume they were a newer install.
With these new ones, I don't want a 4th gen interior.
