Gauge swap question....

Okay I've done a search and haven't had my questions specifically answered for my car so don't flame me, as some are so fond of doing. I've got a gauge cluster from an '87-88 IROC with full gauges, cable-driven. I want to put it into my '83 Z28, full gauges, cable-driven. (I hate those damn dual pointer 85 mph clusters). Is this a direct bolt-in? Will the speedo register properly? How about the tach?

Thanks man. Seriously, some folks on here get the redass with you pretty quick if you ask something that's been asked before. I still get chills when I think about the time I posted an air cleaner clearance question.................
