If you don't want to do that, you could always get door cupholders frfom a firebird. I don't know what years they came in, but I know 91-92 birds got em. They replaced the pockets on the bottom of the doors.

Well, seeing as how he has a 89 GTA - he probably also has the molded vinyl door panels that come with no space for a cupholder.

Easiest way to add a cupholder is to carry a passenger. The hold your cup so you don't have to.

But other options include: 4th gen center console (97+ is preferred), rear console (these are available at any wal-mart in the automotive section. The fit snuggly on the transmission hump)

Hope this helps.

Well, in my camaro I added a cup holder easily without doing ANY modifications...3 easy steps:

1. swap in "center clock" console (from an 84 sport coupe)
2. get cupholder insert from 97+ Ford Expedition (w/front bucket seats)
3. insert cupholder insert in "clock hole", works great and looks factory

or you can just buy what my link went to and it is factory... that was an option and that part is direct from GM.

THE BEST CUP HOLDER IDEA

I think this would be the best. You have to use your imagination, but this cup holder is from a 91-96 Beretta. I'm not sure if it'd work, because I'm not sure what's behind the dash in the F-Bodies, but here goes:

You'd almost have to paint the cup holder black though to make it look right with the dash.

In the Camaro, I think just right of the center console would look GREAT.

you guys want an excellent idea i have one.

my buddy bought a 95 corolla and he has this thing right under his radio... i thought it was the cd player at first, but it's the cup holder

you push it, it pops out like a cd tray and has 2 cup holders, you push it back in and it's closed...

it would be a perfect fit under a radio too!
