Doors Get Stuck...
This is in regards to the '89 IROC in my sig...
Both of my doors have this problem where they open about 3/4 of an inch (enough to put my fingers between the door edge and the body), but then they "catch". I have to yank on the doors to get them past this point, and they're fine after that.
I just installed a new hinge/pin kit on the driver's side door and, while the kit did fix the door alignment (i.e. it's no longer sagging), it seems like it only started catching after I installed the kit.
It seems like some GM cars had an adjustable striker bar where this could be fixed, but I noticed that my Camaro's striker bar is not adjustable.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

Yes. You need a door alignment tool. With the door opened a bit it hooks onto the striker bolt and latches into the door latch, then you yank up or down on the end of the long bar to bring the door back into proper alignment with the striker bolt. I bought a version of the tool from MAC tools to use on my customers cars. It is p/n DHA 7554 for $58 + tax & S/H. I'll be selling a less expensive version on my web site soon that you attach a socket and a breaker bar to. You could easily fab one up yourself though.
