RE iroc z wheels

hey guys

I recently just bought some IrocZ wheels when i took them off the car i notice that the back wheels had a spacer in front of the drum so i snag them too. The car had the alumnium drums on it also. so my question is do i need to use the spacer if my car has cast iron drums.

also the car was a 86 TPI iroc z28

The shop manual claims that the spacer was for cars with cast iron drums, so yes, you need them (that said, my IROC, which has rear discs, has them too).
