Removing Driver Side Trunk Panel....
I was installing my new weatherstripping and I want to take off the huge panel in the hatch area on the drivers side The passenger side was very easy (4 screws) and underneath it was the tire and jack. The back was also easy, but I CAN NOT get off the panel on the drivers side. Does that thing go all the way to the door? It appears so. How do I get it off? Please give me instructions!!!

You need to take off the hatch trim peice "just beneath the hatch hinges" Remove the coat hanger hook, There should be a screw in the b pillar trim thats attached to the panel. After that it should come right out with a little shimming and shaking.

The b pillar is the Sail Panel aka whats behind the side windows, for a pictular reference its the S in sold on my 82 Targa Z28 camaro. A pillar if the sides of the windshield, what goes from the back of the hood area to the front top of the roof.

I think there are a few on the passenger side too, but there are some little christmas tree things that just push into clips, so you may have to tug at the top edge by the weatherstripping to pull those out.

so will I have to take out the seat belt. Or the part of the seat belt that is attached to the back seat? I think it is attached with a bracket held in by two screws to the backseat.

Heres a pic of all the screws that needs to be removed. You may need to remove the bottom panel to get the top one off. The bottom one has two screws one by the door sill, and the other by the rear seat bolt bracket. Both are pointed out as well. One thing thats not on there is my sail panel board and coat hanger but I still have them pointed out.

wow, that is a lot of screws. Thanks for the great picture! Is the back seat folded down, or taken out in that picture?
