back hatch
When i push up my back hatch, it does not stay up, this means the hydrolics are shot right? THey are connected in 2 spots, one to the inside of the car, and another to the hatch itself. How do you unscrew the bolt that keeps it connected to the car, it looks like a special bolt\screw thing. I have a big screw driver that fits it, but its super tight and im unable to loosen it. How can i get these hydrolics off so i can put new ones on?

it uses a TORX bit. if you don't have them, you will need to pick some up, the are used all over our cars.

Correct, It is either a T-45 or a T-50 IIRC. Don't waste your time getting the cheap junk either, if you use them alot they will just end up stripping out, especially if your messing with tight bolts.

I agree. Spend the extra money and get a set from Craftsman or Snap On because the cheap ones won't last long and when you do strip one from Sears, it'll get replaced for free. Just a little advice on the strut replacement: find a 2x4 long enough to hold up the hatch while you change the struts. The glass is very HEAVY and you probably won't be able to hold it up and replace the struts at the same time. I also wouldn't recommend having somebody hold the hatch up for you unless that person is very strong.
