What hood should I go with?
Ok, heres the deal. My motor sit way too high for the stock hood mostly because of the high-rise intake but regardless I was curious as to what hood you guys would suggest I go with. I was thinking a 4" cowl hood love the look. Anyone know the cheapiest place to get these things? Anyone have any other suggestions? If so what type of hood? I kind of want to be diffirent but not expensive with this car. Here's what the car looks like now, as you can see the engine sets much too high for the stock hood. Thanks guys Kyle

I've seen alot of people use harwood, you can order that hood from somewhere like jegs or summit.

I agree on slappin' a cowl hood on it..
I dunno what it is, but rarely do I see any aftermarket hoods that I like for these cars.. cowl is just about the only one that I think looks great! Go for it and post pics when u've got it on there

do you plan on puttin ground effects on your car, because if you arethe hood needs to match them.

Unlimited Products has the cheapest fiberglass hoods. 4 3/4" hood pin in the front for $270 or latch in the front for $350. These hoods are not finished underneath like the harwood, but it just depends on what you want. I personally don't care what the bottom of my hood looks like because it's not a show car and I rarely lift the hood except to work onit at home. And when I do lift the hood, most poeple are looking at the engine anyway.

True! Nice looks like what I will be going with cheap is good. It's a race car not a show car. :sillylol: anyways if I can find some ground effects at a good price I might but they're so expensive and do nothing but make the car look good. Keep in mind this is my race car not a show car.
