Nope, that doesn't work. Also, did you just reuse the old falling headliner or did you buy new stuff w/ the foam attached? Old stuff won't stick anymore.

The adhesive you want to get is 3M's Interior Adhesive (in a white can w/ red letters) NOT the Super 77! because that doesn't hold up to heat.

Did the foam stay on the board when you pulled the old material off? If so, youre going to have to redo it. For the $12-15 new material is going to cost you, its well worth it.

When I get home this summer, I might re-do mine just for the sake of making a tech article. This comes up about once a week.

I had my headliner done three years ago and no problem with it falling down. Also it looks factory stock, but I did have install by a Professional Upholstery Shop. I say screw the DIY sruff if you want it to look good or Half/A--ed.

Mine looks fantastic, for the low price of about $25 and maybe three hours of my time.

I did, now i dont have time to work on anything at all, so maybe a shop would be the best bet.

getting bored of posting this...

do a search for headliner in the body & interior forum. you will get this: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ight=headliner

i think we've covered headliners pretty thoroughly at this point. elmer's spray glue will not work. 3M Fast Tack Trim Adhesive is the correct spray adhesive for headliners.
