Louver removal?
I've got a set of rear hatch louvers on my '88 Formula and I'm tired of them... but I'm not completely sure how to remove them. Inspection of the contraption appears to show that the plastic side panels are clipped onto the side of the hatch... does the spoiler hold them down as well? And where are the bolts that hold the metal, middle section on? Help appreciated. Thx. May 13th the 350 goes in

I got 'em off. Got done about 20 minutes ago, just got outta the shower. Came off nice & simple. Had to peel some adhesivve tape off that the metal brackets were mounted on the glass with. Other than that, straightforward removal. Now to price out tint...

In order to get mine out, I had to purchase a special set of torx bits with a hole in the middle. Costed me $15 from SnapOn, but it's the only way, unless you drill your own bits.
Once you get those bits, just loosen the bolts, unhook the mounts, and pull the louvress off of the top hinge.
