I have a automatic transmission and the tach for the RPM is way off, It says im shifting at 8,000 rpm when i stomp it. And when i hit the gas it jumps very fast, Also when its at about 3000rpm it sounds like its at about 2000, Has anyone ever had this problem, Or knows whats wrong??? HELP!!

have you done anything to the gauges? (white face, etc.) If not check the integrity of the tach wire on the distributor... if that's ok it may just be time for a new tach.
