If t-tops are improperly adjusted or have bad weatherstripping they will leak. The same is true of convertibles and hardtops. My first car was a '69 Pontiac GTO (clone) convertible that I restored. The convertible was ok, but I vastly prefer t-tops. I absolutely love them in my dad's '00 TA. I know there are plenty of people here on the boards who have spent some time and a little bit of money and have t-tops that are sealed up great, so I'm not really worried about that. I shot a PM to Fatal88 to see if he could give me some tips and advice about the t-top conversion since he did that to his car before he converted it to a convertible, so I'm waiting to see what he has to say. I'm also going to try to talk to some bodyshops back home over break and see what they have to say. I'm still not 100% sure I wanna go through with it, but man I LOVE t-tops!

I say go for it. As long as you have a good donor car to use the top from then things should go smoothly. I think any body shop thats reptuable can do the job for less than marks price or somewhere near that area.
