Rear spoiler{mustang99?}
I installed a mustang wing on my t/a{I know I know}........but I have an 87 gta and the factory wing had gone to poop.I unfortunately live in canada where I can't get good 2nd worth a damn so..........other than putting the plain 85 style wing I went on the hunt and this is what I found.A wing off a 99 mustang bolts perfect with some small fabricating to make a lid for the third brake light.I will post some better pics later.

I am shocked, that looks really good, I saw "Mustang" and I began to cringe... then I saw the pic, looks better than the 4th gen spoiler on our cars from that angle...

If that wing were wider, I would definately put it on my thirdgen. The 4thgen and Fiberglass aero wing is too much for me, but Mustang wings seem to be almost half as expensive and look pretty good. I had always wondered how the curved wing would look on our straight rears.
I thought it would look bad, but it doesn't.

YEah those spoilers are really cheap too. I have been having a few problems finding 4th gen ta spoiliers and people want too much for the 91 TA spoiliers. Those I can get for like under 100dollars.

Holy sweet jiminy...
Glad you posted this. I found the following on the Jegs site for those wishing to avoid the yard search monkeying-around:
Cannot wait to look for these in the yards and Ebay...
Coocha-poo, that wing works and works well, compared to the thirty-trillion I would have to drop for a 'glass stock replacement...
Pics, please more pics and mounting details
Peace,
K

The mustang spoiler really reminds me of the odd stock spoiler they put on the 88 Camaro SC... I think I like this one better tho, it looks slightly taller... Have not seen it in person to really decide...

I especially like the fact that the photographer has the ability to capure his finger in EVERY picture he takes on the right hand corner, kind of like his signature "my finger was here"

Damn, that looks so good.
I may have to stop at the local Mustang ranch and see what I can dig up.
What years of mustang fall into the 1999 generation? From when to when?

Transmission: Crappy Needs Improvment.
it gives the back end of that car a little bit more of a flow instead of the boxy sort of style that the other wings give it... it looks nice.

You know what's funny? I've got a wing off of a 94 Cobra in my garage, it's not a stock one, I think it's called a Stocker.
I was going to see what it looked like on my car for ****s and giggles.
The one you have looks almost like the one in my garage.

We put the Cervini Stocker on my friends 92 Firebird to see what it looked like, not too bad, just a bit wide,

Zeph,
Your friend definately needs new tires... or are they slicks?
I do not mind the spoiler, your right tho its a little wide, and I think the sides droop down too close to the fender for my taste...

The tires are balding on the shoulder, they were on the front of another friends car. Goodyear Eagle GSC's.
I think if the spoiler was mounted, it wouldn't droop as much.
I think it might even be flat onto the quarter panel, but it still would hang off the side of the car.

It almost looks like if it were about 4 " narrower it would fit really nice...

Not bad at all. Always up for making cars look unique. Is there any way, for zepher's friend, if you were to cut in the ceneter of spoiler, then take away an even amount, then use metal brackets on inside of wing and add adheasive to hold bracket temporarly, then see if you can make a very small recessed hole where the srew would attach to the bracket and wing. Recessed so it is easier to cover with fiberglass. Then cover with fiberglass and stick back together. Between the support of the fiberglass, metal brackets and both posts (possibly 3rd brake also, depending on what your doing with that), that should be more than enough support. If you could, I would give it a swing, see how it turns out. Good luck

Zeph,
is that a real shaker hood, or a stick-on?
