Wheel Restoration for 1982 Trans Am
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. On my 82 TA, I have set of factory "turbo finned" rims (or whatever they are called- they are the ones that have the giant cap that looks like a bowling ball... the ones that KITT had on Knight Rider.
Anyways, they needed a little scrucing up so I have a local wheel shop beed blast them and machine the edges, and they look like new, but the shop inists that is it, that's how they came from the factory (NO clear coat)... I just can't imagine them staying nice to long without some kind of protection. Does anyone know if they were in fact clear coated from the factory or??? Thanks in advance. Steve

You should post this in the "history and restoration" board to get your question properly answered. Or else you can pm kizz he knows everything about 82 T/A's.
