camaro seats
I have did many searches on this topic. I know that 4th gen seats bolt right in, but I have seen where it says they sit a little lower than the old seats. Is that a inch or two, or is it a quarter of an inch. Mainly Im wondering how much lower 4th gen seats set.

I didn't notice any difference. I had non-power 3rd gens, and replaced with power 4th gens. If they sit any lower..or higher..its certainly well under anything you're really gonna notice. Although...at 6'3"...with the power seat all the way up...I can almost stick my head up and see over the windshield...which, in a red convertible, makes me almost look like one of those kids riding a pedal car. :nono:

I noticed that some of the 4th gen seats that are for sale, some guys say that they will fit say 93-97 cars and some say that others fit 93-02 cars. Isnt it true that 4th gen seats of any year will just bolt into all 3rd gen cars? And do you need the specific tracks for 4th gen cars or will 3rd gen tracks work for 4th gen seats?

As far as I know, all the 4th gens will fit. But I can't swear to it...mine are out of a 94 and fit fine in my 89. The tracks are part of the seat assembly...at least they are on the power seats...you unbolt from the floor, remove your old tracks with the seats attached, and bolt in the new ones. I don't know if you can fit the seats themselves onto your old tracks. But why would you want to?
