Door repair help please!!!

I got a 91 RS.On the passenger side, it looks like the door is'nt flush with the body up top.It looks like it needs to be "rolled in".Is there a way I can loosen the bolts to adjust the door to make it shut right and be flush or is this a take to the shop kinda deal.ANY help would be nice. Thanks guys

Ken

All I know is that adjustment of the upper hinge is a real bitch unless the fender is outta the way. As far as moving the door inward via ajustment of the hinge though, I don't think you are going to be able to move it all that much. How much room do you need?

Well,I have'nt really measured it.I would guess about between 1/4 to 3/8 ". Its enough to tell its outta whack on the outside and you can definitely tell it on the inside.

to some extent you can loosen the striker bolt and ajust the door in/out & up/down.I would try that b4 ajusting door hinges.everything ive read about the hinges, they are welded to the door & the bolt holes are not slotted on the frame.

The upper and lower hinges are bolted to the body and welded to the door. They can be loosened and the door adjusted up and down, but I don't think it will allow you to rotate it in the way you need. As I understand you the top of the door at the window is not aligned with the body. Is this correct or are you talking about the alignment with the window at the weather stripping? It may also be worn hinges. When you open the door all the way can you lift up on the end of the door without lifting up the whole car?
