MPH Gauge Not Working
I have a problem with my MPH gauge, All of my other gauges work but the MPH one does not.
Afterm driving for a while the check engine light comes on and then after about 5 minutes it goes off and the MPH gauge starts working.
It is almost like it needs to hear up first?
I have already replaced the cluster and the same thing is happening.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

humm i have that problem too. Do u still have a plastic push button for the tripometer? Push it in a few times, hear like a gear noise? Now drive the car. Speedo should work. If the piece is broken us a paper clip, toothpick or what ever. Im not sure why mine does that, even didnt work after i replaced the cluster. Shoulds like the same deal on both our cars, espically since they are so close in age.

Seems like my issue is the same as yours,
I have put in 2 different gauge clusters and still have the problem.
I think it might be the sending unit that makes the gauges work

Ok what about just the speedometer cable altogether? Could it have got damaged somehow..i dont no just an idea
Only reason im saying this is because i just learned to replace a speedomoter cable and did it today...but that was because my speedomoter needle keep bouncing all over the place and making wierd nosies but i im not sure if just changing it would fix ur problem
