Mounting license plate on a ta
what is the best way to mount the plate so i dont have to drill holes in the bumper. i just had the holes filled in but if i have to put a plate back on im not gonna drill holes in the nose. does anyone have any pics of how its mounted.

well my T/A came with a black metal bracket that was already screwed into the bumper. if you dont want to drill into the bumper i suppose you could use some heavy duty double sided foam pads or similar. home depot usually has that kinda stuff
this is what my car looks like with the bracket:
i know you can't really see it, but you get the idea

worst case, you could fabricate something to hang it from...tie the ends to something under the hood..thpough I think the holes would look better then that.

my dad's fabbing a piece for my GTA (maybe tomorrow - we'll see). It mounts to 2 of the bottom bolts on the front bumper.
If I can get it made, I'll see how much it would cost to build a couple of them. I'll keep you posted nolan.

throw it in the passengerside of the windshield or take some bunji cords and strap it to the passenger side sun visor and flip down the sun visor so its visable.

It somehow mounts under the car, and lets the plate sit real low in front of the bumper. Some guy fabs them up and sells them for like $20 on ebay. Well worth it if you are in a 2-plate law state and you don't want to damage your bumber.

yeah it kills how the car would look. it really looks some much better without the stupid from plate. Ny sucks all crappy laws, 2 plates on a car , no side tint of any type is legal, nys regents.
3.1EyeCandy thanks i would like to see what it looks like .

i would just make something that looks like an L shape that would bolt to the two center bolts under the bumper, and hold the plate in the center about the level of the GFX, not as high as in those pictures. you should be able to make this by carefully bending and cutting some aluminum stock from home depot or lowe's for about $15-25.

CO has that law but i just disobey it, havent gotten pulled over in the over 2 years i havent had a front plate (atleast not for that ), they were gonna eliminate the law here because it costs the dmv craploads of money each year and they realized that even states without front plates are just as likely to recover stolen vehicles as ones with front plates (some states without the law even have better vehicle recovery numbers), its a stupid law, thus i disobey it
