4th gen dash sawp??? any pics??
ok i wanna do a late 4th gen dash swap into a 86 iroc, i have a 01 SS, and i want the exact same interior in my iroc, i know seats fit, but thats all i know, can the door panels be made to fit and what about the dash, i could make the console work. i have access to welding/fabrication and such so i can do a lot of custom stuff, gauges,climate controls radio arent an issue for me. i also wouldnt use pass airbag. i would like to see some pics if anyone has some. Thanks.

As far as I know reading all over the boards most if not all 4th gen interior pieces will fit into a 3rdgen with a little massaging.
Do a search alot of people have done entire swaps.

That's another members..I am doing the EXACT same thing. Everything fits with some modification. I bought a dash for $100 + 35 shipping out of a firebird. I bought a console for 45 locally and haven't work on carpet/doorpanels or leather seats yet.

customX, that looks incredible...great job.
The one thing i assume on most of these swaps is that you say goodbye to the A/C and heating systems for the most part. I would want to make the a/c and heat still function somehow. thats my only concern. but i give you guys credit who ever tried it already.

Well living in southern cali, i have no need for heat or ac or defrost.
Although if i was to keep them, youd have to find a way to mate up the 4th gen ducting to your 3rd gen blower/heaterbox.
Some cuting and re piping would be in order. Wouldnt bee terribly hard, then youd have to figure out a way to mount the thirdgen hvac controsl to the hvac pod (4th gen mounts different) or swithc over to 4th gen controls, but then your lookign at 4th gen heater/blower box probably and would need to cut the firewallt o fit it.
