Not a usual question about AC delete heater boxes....

Does anyone know where i can get the strip that goes behind the box that cushions it from the firewall?

Just use some RTV. Let it setup for a day or two. It will make its own gasket.

i figured i could do that....i was just wondering if maybe i could get the OEM soft gasket

most likely walmart, or a hobby shop might have a roll of servo tape, with is sticky on one side and a thin layer of cushion on the other side.

When I repainted my engine bay with the motor swap 3 years ago I was able to order the gasket from GM..IIRC it was around$10.Non A/C car.
