83 t-tops conversion

Can anyone tell me if you can convert the hook style t-tops on an 83 to the pin style of an 84 and up. Has anyone done this? If so...how? I would appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

No, but we'll be trying it as soon as we locate all the necessary hardware. I think it will work.

Does anyone know if the seals are the same and the only differnece is the latching system? I would be willing to try the conversion if the seals are all the same.

I will be checking today to see if the pin mounting hardware can go on and what it does to the angles!

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Yep...just gotta swap over the plastic receivers on the body to the pin style ones...then trial and error to adjust them to seal properly.
I installed the tops out of an 86 'bird into my 83 SC, because the 86 ones have locks....
