FENDERS: '91 firebird and trans am use the same one????
It's almost paint time and I'm in desperate need of a new fender. My question is this: Do firebirds and TA's use the same fender ('91), I know the TA's have the ground effect but is the actual fender the same model?? I thought that they did, but I've been told that they're different by the guy who was ordering me an aftermarket fender. Does anyone know???!!! All help is greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!!
Joe.
p.s. does anyone know where to find a good used GM fender? I've already checked Hawks and no luck. Going to try the others here in a few, anyone have one they need to get rid of?? Thanks again!
edit: drivers-side fender

I believe they are the same fender. My friend has 2 Firebirds, a 91 and a 92, ones a V6 and the other is a V8. Both have ground effects.
From what I remember, Trans Ams I think have a Fender Vent and the Firebirds and GTA's don't.
EDIT: I just looked at a 91 Trans Am, and the fenders of all the 91-92 cars look the same.

82-90 Trans Am's got the fender vents (heat extractors). 91-92's didn't. So, in theory, a fender from a 82-92 Firebird, pre 92 Formula, a 91-92 Trans Am or pre 92 GTA should work. If the fender didn't have GFX originally, then it would have to be drilled correctly to mount your GFX.
