Trim Plate under Side Mirrors

I switched power mirrors in for non power mirrors on my car, but the plastic trim piece that goes between the mirror assembly and the door skin doesn't seem to have the right curve. Anybody know if these are different between power and non power mirrors? Should be identical I thought.
