Can this be repaired?
I ripped my driver's side mirror off a little while back and now I'm ready to repair the damage. My question is, can this be repaired, either by pulling the dent or by getting a new door skin, or could I have done some framing damage that would warrant a new door? I'm just about ready to shave the door handles and get new paint, so it's time to take care of all the little dents and dings. Thanks, Joe

It could be fixed by a good welder (cut out the distorted metal and put in a section from another door, possibly one with other damage), but I wouldn't mess with it. Doors around here go for about $30 or so, and while good ones aren't plentiful, they aren't oo hard to find. A GM skin is over $200, so just replacing the door would be your best bet, unless you can get a repro cheap and install it yourself.

id say if its on the door just replace the door. there cheap. but if its on the body or a larger panel that would be hard to replace then ID say it could be repaired, but id get it done by a body shop. by the way im in sacramento too. ever see a 92 camaro rs with an Iroc hood thats purple with silver racing stripes?

Thanks for the replies! I guess I'll start hunting around for a new door. It sucks cause I just installed an upper hinge bushing kit from andyz28, and now I'm gonna have to get a new door with it's own hinge. How much do you think a shop would charge to take a new door down to the metal and primer it?
Oh, and eric, where at in sac are you? I'm down in elk grove, but I have to go all over sacramento for work.

Hey im in Sac as well,
in fact I go to El Camino HS along with a friend who owned an 87 Camaro Z28
I drive a Red 88 GTA. You cant miss it as I have black gta diamond spokes in the front, gold in the rear, and a bad case of oxidation on the top of the car.
