If you don't have a key, and theres no inside release drilling it out will work. Once its drilled out, insert a screwdriver through the hole into the slot where the lock arm went through and twist...the hatch will pop open.

Car: 08 Sierra, 08 Silverado, 91 z28
Engine: 5.3, 4.3, 5.7
Transmission: autos
just pull the lock out and look in ull see a slit stick a small flat head screwdriver in there and twist clockwise, hatch will open, or if u dont wanna mess the lock up, get in the back of the car, pull the panelin down and unbolt the hatch latch (that sounds funny..lol) either way works
