Hello i have an 83 SC....i have the rear bumper and front nose on the car...now the problem is ....how do i mount the ground effects that cover the rockers ...????? i havent an idea as to how to do this...................i was thinking of runnings some self tapping screws through the bottom of the rocker..and then a thin plate of aluminum..on top to connect the GFX with the rocker....

When I went to install my GFX on my 87 I made a trip to the local scrap yard with my cordless drill. Drilled out the rivets on the factory brackets, paid $5 for the pair.... Just drilled a few holes in the rocker panel & screwed them on, VIOLA! I used 82-84 brackets on the 85-90 style GFX without a problem (I was told they wouldn't work)

You've already drilled the holes for the studs in gfx's to mount to body and then tighten them down with the wing nuts? And now you need to make or get a support bracket. I made some steel straps that I bent to fit the contour of the body and then drilled a small hole and then put a screw in and tightned it down to the top of the rocker gfx. Adding gfx to my 85 SC was one of the most fun projects that I've done to enhance the appearance of the car
