Sliding center console lid
Has anybody ever done this? I'm wanting the console lid to slide back as opposed to lift up. Is there some sort of track that I could mount on the top of the console and under the lid that would allow it to slide? Thanks, Joe

i know ford probes did it... well on a 95 one anyways.
maybe check for one at a junk yard and just unmount the rails from that.
dont see why that wouldn't work.

I was thinking along the lines of the metal sliders that are used in drawers. I may head over to home depot today and see what I can find. Thanks for the info on the probe consoles. It doesn't look like it's the same size/shape, but at least it shows it can be done.
