How do I remove the rear speaker covers on a convertible?

How do I remove the rear speaker covers on a convertible?

Are they just pushed/snapped on, or is there some mounting hardware inside? They don't seem to just pop off too easily..thought I'd ask the experts before going at 'em with a crowbar

haha i had the same problem, its a little more deceiving. in order to access those speakers and grill you're going to have to remove that whole panel. start off by taking off the pillar trim, then the screws along the door frame, the screw by the seatbelt, and then 2-3 screws towards the back of the seat and the panel should just come right off. at first i thought the grill just popped off too but it ended up being a lot more work. good luck
