All Front Impact Bars The Same??
i have read that some of the earlier thirdgens came with aluminum
front reinforcement bars.
are they all the same?
I have a 91 bird will i be able to mount everything together correctly....?
the thing i am worried is the FOG LIGHTS bieng mounted in the
right spot
im pretty sure it ll bolt on
front reinforcement bars.

I don't believe any thirdgen car ever came with an alumunim inner bumper. I have owned over 40 of them and have never seen one. I'm pretty certain it was never done because there is no way a car with an aluminum bumper could pass government crash testing.

what type of change are you making? i went from 91-92 TA to 85-90 TA, and while i did so mostly at night, those bars appeared different. i think the bars for all 91-92 firebirds are the same, but to add foglights you may or may not have to drill holes for the bolts. and you're aware that you'll have to modify those grilles in the nose of a firebird/formula to put the fog lights in, right? because the TA's have rubber extending out toward the lights, not grilles.

82-90 impact bumper bars should be the same....91-92 years are the only ones with the holes drilled into them for the factory foglights, your best bet would to find another one from a 91-92 if your is bad to keep the stock look in front......

Aluminum bars were available in the earlier years..I scored one for my Z at the junkyard from a '83 Z a couple of years ago.
