Does anyone have a blueprint for the Heritage stripes that came on a 1992 z-28. I want to have them painted on and need the measurements for them especially on the hood.

 

Will be wanting them eventually for mine too. Please, someone??

 

Here are the spec's I've been given.
54 inches long, 15 inches wide at the top of the hood but I don't know what they narrow down too...

I'm planning on painting my hood with
heritage stripes as well.

When I had mine done I considered painting also, but the paint guys said its hard as hell to make them look right. So i just got new stickers. I can measure mine tonight and get a pic up with some numbers on it. I guess the only hard part would be painting the outline stripe.

I painted mine, but with a little modifications.

As far as how hard it is to paint the outline stripe, that is what the pin striping tape is for. You will mask all the strip with it, then use it for a accurate spacing between the main stripe and the outline stripe.

I tried to get the specs as good as possible. I would personally just buy the stripe kit. But anyway, Here's what I come up with. 53 inches long, 15.5 inches at the top, 7.5 inches wide at the bottom. Getting it tapered correctly from the 15.5 to the 7.5 would be the hardest part. The outer stripe is 1/4 of an inch from the outside area, and the outer stripe itself is 1/4 of an inch. There is a two and a half inch space between the two main stripes. 1/8 inch from the top(windshield) is where the stripe starts, so there is just a fine line of paint showing. Two inches is where it stops from the bottom. These last measurements are from the main stripe itself and not the outer stripe. Hope this helps.
