'84 Firebird How too..??
Howdy again,
Well this time, I am wondering about how the heck to get the screws out of my dashboard? I have the '84 Firebird and the dash has individual modules for different gauges. i.e. gas is in one module, speedometer in another etc etc. Well, being an old car, the screws have broken down. I am trying to replce lights behind the modules and when i go to take them out, the screws strip. The type of screw is, they almost look like allen heads but have a 6 point star inside. When I put the driver in and turn they just fall apart.
Any ideas would greatly be appreciated!

If the screws in the dash are the same deal as the door panels, some of the screws are fake. They are made of plastic and onl there for decoration. You can generally tell by lloking closely if the screws are the fake(plastic0 or real(metal) ones. As far as replacing ones you wrecked, i have no idea. Hope this helps.

Theres a bunch of 7mm bolts under the dash then that piece comes out as one big piece. none of those torx are real and if you want to fix them your probably gonna need another gauge bezel
