we've installed several 4th gen interiors in our 3rd gen. This is how it looks now.

this is the first one we did back in 1996.

sorry, I have no tech page for the installation. The new 4th gen dash is narrower than the 3rd gen. You will need to do some hand fabrication to make it work. It's not a direct bolt on mod. You will need to splice some 4th gen wiring into your 3rd gen wiring harness for some electrical stuff. You really need to have access to a shop with body shop tools to make it work.

Um we aren't trying to be asses. We are trying to get everyone to follow the rules...that's all. You are suppose to try a search before anything else. Then if you don't find what you're looking for then post you question in the appropriate forum. Not very hard rules to follow.

jcurrieirocz... Fatal88 is the best example here for a 4th gen interior. If anyone can help you it is Tim. Plus try the search button and type in " 4th gen interior. It will help you.

As for you armymp1983...I will post a link to the rules, just for you!https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=143760

jcurrieirocz...I would read over the rules quickly to if I were you and then you wouldn't think everyone here is a "what he said" The rules will make your encounters here much more pleseant.

By the way NICE Iroc!!! And I too had the Kameleon stereo...wicked system!

The old interior was a light grey not white. That interior was when the car was a showcar. This car is now driven daily and the grey interior wasn't people friendly. (it was all looks and NO TOUCH). The dash was painted to match the grey ultraleather used in the seats and we also used grey tweed on some parts. The new door panels are a mixture of the 4th gen parts built to fit the 3rd gen doors. There is a large amount of custom handbuilt stuff done to make them work. Lots of MDF board and bondo. They are covered in ultraleather.

Got a question fatal 88, what did you use for the pillers? If you used 3rd gen pillers what did you do about the vent hole on each side then? Also, did you just fill in the left over space on each side or?

I'll have to get hubby to answer this one. I'll ask him tonight. I do know we made some custom covers for the spaces on the edges of the dash. I'll post back tomorrow.
