Stock Seat Covers
I was poking around in my Camaro today, and I happened to notice that both of the front seats have zippers on the bottom in the back. Can the stock seat covers be removed? I only ask 'cause I was considering running them through a washing machine to get rid of the smoke/exhaust smell.

Well, Uh....yeah, they can be removed....
...but so can the motor.
You could do it, but it's a pain in the ***. It's not like cleaning floor mats or anything like that. I'd recomend getting them professionally cleaned, LONG before I thought about takin' 'em off myself.

I replaced my upholstry a while back and I'll tell ya, it aint worth the work just to wash them, there are alot of "hog rings" under there to make the cover conform to the contours of the seat. worth the work if you want to replace the cover but not to wash them (IMHO).

I had mine replaced myself a year ago, a big and long job if doing it yourself in spare time. Better to have a cleaning company come and clean it, but if picky like me, I had it all replaced and looks like factory new. But those hog rings, what a pain in the butt! andy
