little white plastic dealy with the two copper contacts ?
in steering column under the turn signal switch assmebly there is a white plastic deal with two copper contacts in it that all plugs into a square hole and makes contact with a deal on the ignition switch assembly when it is in ON position, what is this contact deal for ? theres a light green and tan wires for it..

Fast: I now exactly what you're talking about.. i'm not sure what it's for, though
i had a hard time getting it in, along with the screw and the lock cylinder...
as far as i know, you have to put it in before you push the cylinder all the way (it wouldn't go in until i pulled it out a bit).. then you have to put the screw in for the lock cylinder, and like sort of push in all three at once or something
just trial and error,i suppose
it doesn't make any sense
try it with the key in the off position, then try it with it in run, and see if it makes a difference.
That column is a BASTARD.

interesting, hmmm...
didnt try that one, hmm, id have to disassemble column again to try to reinstall it again, hmm.. ill hold off on that unless something important in the car wont work whne i get fuel tank/sender/lines problems/damage corrected

If I understand you correctly then it is the keyminder ( makes the buzzer or chime go off if you leave the key in yhe ignition when the door is open.
There is a flat spring clip that goes with it and it sometimes stays in there when you remove the plastic part. If the spring clip is still in there you will need to fish it out and install it and the plastic part together or you can leave it out and it will not hurt anything except it will not remind you when the key is in yhe ignition and the door is open.

wow ok that would be it then, yeah the spring steel retainer deal stayed in the hole, oops
oh well, dont need key reminder for now, ill worry about it some other day, gotta get fuel system repaired first, and see if car wil be a driver or another parts car, hmm..
