88 700r4 console parts to save ?
any parts from the 88 style of firebird 700r4 consoles worth saving ? all looks pretty useless to me since none of it will fit in the 82 i have,,

the "Armrest" sometimes get messed up, might want to try & sell it, If the trim piece is in good condition might try to sell that too...
I guess it all depends on what condition it is, and how much you want for it...

what part of the trim do you refer to ? where is it at on the console ? i noticed that on this console that the like side panels got a bulge to them at where they tuck up under the shift plate
must be common problem on these ?
when was first year for the firebird long skinny style lid and console like this? i like the 82-84 Z28 consoles the best, these 88 oens are horrid IMO

82-84: Similar to the Camaro Style
85-92: changed to the longer skinny type...
You are right, the vinyl seems to pull away from the plastic, easily fixed tho, with a little super glue...

If you weren't so far away I could take the rear end off your hands. Whatever moron ordered my car opted for a 2.73. I would hold on to the console, Year One wants over $200 for them, so it must be worth something.
