where can I get new sound barrier material?
I had the unfortuneate luck of having to replace my heater core, but since I didn't know how long it had been leaking, the sound barrier material is completely destroyed - much to comparing it to wet toilet paper... I haven't had a chance to remove it, just have the carpet pulled back to help dry it out. I think I can get away with just replacing the passenger side and not have to tear out everything, but need to find some material to do it. I know Summit and those places sell that dynomat stuff, but I don't need to go that heavy on it... Any suggestions (other than not replacing it) will be appreciated... thanks...

New carpet comes with the Jute backing, it's alittle thinner though. When I replaced mine I put the stock jute and the new one in. So if you have the money and your carpets not in great shape you can spend $200 and it'll make the interior look alot better.
But another route would be the junkyard maybe. Was their any rust under the jute. If there is clean that up before you put new stuff on.

classic industries
Classic industries sells the jute padding separately in the carpet section of their catalog.. can't remember the price but it is fairly inexpensive.. as stated above, if you buy all new carpet it comes attached (at least it did with my ACC carpet).
