is $100 dollars good for a tint job? I heard some "special" offer on the radio, but I also heard it can be done for 30 a window. that would only be about $90...

If they do good work, its a good deal. The back window alone will often cost $100-$150. But just be careful, you get what you pay for. I got a "deal" on my tints from a guy on the boards who worked at a tint shop. $100 for all the windows. I dropped my car off, and since the play was 45 mins away, I had to wait the "4 hours". So I walked around town like all day, came back and it wasn't done. I was PISSED. They ran out of tint and told me to come back the next day and they knocked $20 off the price. The next day they did mine right away, about 3-4 hours. Limo on back, 20% on the sides. I was happy, but now I can see very very small bubbles on the back in a small area of like 3 inches by 3 inches, and it didn't stick on one of my windows in the corner by the mirror. I figure it'll last through next summer, then I'll get it redone with a gaurantee and pay the extra money.

alright. i know the place im going to has a good reputation, and i've seen they're work, so i guess i'll go through with it. they just had an ad on the radio for a 24 hour sale with the 100 dollar tint advertised, so i figured i'd schedule an appointment for the hell of it...

Tint is VERY cheap..............
The price you are paying is for the quality of work they do....
Make sure they use a name-brand tint such as llumar.......Also check some previous work, not work that was done 2 weeks ago, but work that was done about 2 months ago........
Also make sure they offer some kind of warranty on their work and product......

$100 is a really good deal (for good work) if they'll even do it for that much on a Camaro. Don't be surprised if they say they want more to do the back glass. It's very hard to do! I spent nearly eight hours crawling around under my hatch to do my own! It turned out pretty good. But, it really is very hard to tint such a large, curved window.

I went to a glass place to get a rock mark on my windshield fixed... guy who'd obviously been doing glass for a long time offered to do mine for $100...
I don't think it's too outa line, make sure they can do the rear window with one sheet... or do really good seams...

$100.00 is a good price.
"Mettalli", Stick a pin or small razor slit in those air bubbles, then insert water in the hole or slit and squeeze bubble. this should work. When you get ready to redo your tint you want to go to "EastSide Window Tinting" 3950 East 150th, Chicago (773) 731 0428. You have seen my tint job. It was and is perfect. Not one bubble, imperfection, nothing. And it has a lifetime warranty. It took one hour to do the back in limo 5% and the sides in 10%. I paid $120.00 in 2000, March for mine

if they are reputable then it's not a bad price......i've "never" seen a good tint job for less than 150 and even around that price range it was good, but not great. i've seen jobs go for as much as 400 for the same amount of windows. personally, i'd rather save up and have it done right the first, but it really depends on what your expectations are. i've had my camaro tinted 4 times until i finally wised up!
i paid roughly 250 for mine; but it was well worth it in the end. the shop i took it to though strictly does show cars or high end models, you pay for what you get.

I got some more details from the place thats doing it for me, they'll be using llumar, and there's a lifetime warranty. they also do the back all in one piece, and no extra charge for it being a camaro.
