dye the door panels, carpet, and seats?

Can anyone tell me where I can get dye for my carpet, door panels, and seats, and how I go about doing it? I got a beige interior now, but I replaced a lot of the sunfaded parts, actually all of the back half with some good looking black from the boneyard. I want everything else black, but it's gettin hard to find the rest of the interior in black, much less in good condition. My seats, door panels, and carpet are all good, so I'd like to just dye them. I grabbed black vinyl door panels from the yard too, in case I wanted to use those instead, too.

I'd say give your local auto parts store a try, I know autozone carries vinyl and carpet spray, but I really wouldn't recommend it. I tried to go to an all black interior with this spray, but it just wasn't hearing it. My panels did ok, but flaked real easy, but the carpet just faded and rubbed out. I'd say save some money, and buy some carpet and panels. Just my opinion anyway.

The dye will rub fast over highly used areas..........

The panels will last consideraly longer IF you do them right.....

Do a search on the boards and you will find the procedure for doing all the panels......

dye carpet, door panels,etc.

The key I've found to successful redye work on vinyls is proper preparation of the surface. Clean the surface carefully and then prep with a product designed to promote adhesion on plastics, here in Ga. I get Bulldog brand, and the result will give good results. I'm still living with my carpet. Hope this helps, Dave
