replacing console
hello...
im gonna replace the center console out of my 91 rs with one from a 93. the problem is, ive yet to figure out how to remove the old console. i cant really find any screws other than whats on top..
this is really baffling to me. help!

Assuming a 91 is the same as a 86, it comes out in 2 pieces. To remove the top part, remove the bolts in the storage bin, 4 I think. Remove e-brake handle and shift ****. Remove shifter/ashtray plate. Remove trim around radio and hvac controls. Remove radio and hvac controls. Remove 4(?) bolts holding upper console to lower console. Unplug power window/hatch switches. Remove upper console. In the biddle of the lower console there is a metal brace with a bolt running horizontal. Remove that bolt. Remove lower console.
I may have forgotten a bolt or 2, but here's a starting point.
