Tint Question
i want to replace tint on rear glass because of some small bubbles, but shop cant guarantee me that they won't tear up defroster. any ideas on how i can remove it myself? (of course without tearing up defroster)

peel the tint off then use a high amonia based glass cleaner and alot of rags or even use a plastic bondo spreader to try to get the glue off. It isn't the tint that is hard to get off it is the glue that holds it on. If you use a razor blade like you do on a normal window it will take the defrost right off.

I'm not doing mine until spring. Snow flew today so the car won't see the road til then, but if you want to wait I'll do mine first This isn't the first time that I have done this. I peeled 20% off to do 5% a couple of years ago, but my buddy used Llumar tint and it is starting to turn purple. The tint that I sell now, Sungard has a lifetime warranty
