What is everything that needs to be done for a prep on paint? My buddy is gonna paint his 83 mustang. What other than drive the piece of crap off a cliff do we have to do to prep it? Thanks

Can I dream about a 83 Z28 L69 Can you give details as to what you are doing? Are you doing a base/clear? Do you care about the quality? do you want to strip it? Etc details work wonders

If you want it stripped and to be nice then I would completely sand it down, use a good etching primer( 2 coats) then spray a few layers of a heavy build primer(you don't have a booth so it will hide minor inpurities) and keep it out of the sun. I had a engineer from Sherwin Williams tell me that sun breaks down the composition of the primer before water. So just sand like crazy out of water and sun and then get it sprayed. I could carry on and on but please give some details about what you want to do, where, and resources
