Firebird dash + shift light

I just ordered a shift light from Jegs, not the tach and light just the light. I dont want it on the dash unless its unavoidable. My last guess is all the way to the right where the guages end, above the pouch and point it to me but that seams far.

Anyone have suggestions?? Camaro guys, you got it easy. Your able to stick them underneath the vents, unlike us with the spread out guages.

I found two places you could hang it.

1. In front of the far left vent, hanging from the dashpad. It's a good place to mount it without being obvious, but your left hand tends to block it most of the time. You'll have to get creative hiding the wires, too.

2. Steering column. If you mount it just to the left of center, it will not block your tach or directionals, and it only blocks the 130-140mph part of your spedometer. (I don't use that part anyway) Only a couple of inches of wires to hide, too.

I would try to insert (drill) it somewhere in the dash..
make it look like it belongs there..
