Quick headlight question.
The passenger side headlight motor of my 85 Firebird stopped working last night. The headlight door didn't open up when I turned on the headlights so I opened the hood and turned the manual **** to open the light. I gave the **** about half of a turn and the motor opened the door the rest of the way. I turned off the lights to try them out agian and I had to manually crank the light down. The second time that I turned the lights on I just had to give the **** a half turn and it opened up by itself. Everytime I tried the lights since I've had to open and close the headlight door manually. There is a couple of clicking noises that come from the light when I try to turn the lights on and off.
I've already done a search for this problem. I just really want to know where to start. Should I try finding a new motor from a boneyard, or should I order a rebuild kit for the motor from someone? What could be wrong with it?

The plastic bushing is going bad in the motor, do a search I have posted and other people have posted where to buy the parts to fix this. What has happend is the plastic thing has begun to desentergrate, sometimes it is enough to turn the arm with the motor, when you put pressure on the ****, or catch the noch.
It will get worse and worse, you can lock them in the up position and unplug the motor, and leve it like that until you get a chance to fix them.
