pics of new mirror w/ lights

my old rear view mirror fell off on me and it was messed up and ugly anyways so i went out to my trans am parts car and got one from there and it has lights in it.

all i did to hook up the mirror is got some wires spliced them on the mirror and pulled them through the celing to the dome light. just hooked up the wires to each end of the dome light and plugged in the mirror. nice and simple change.it goes on when you open the door and when you hit the switches on them.

here is a couple of crappy pics

Very cool mod, mine came stock with the lights and one day I was at the junk yard and found the same exact one but with a digital compass readout on the mirror. the guy gave it to me for $5 b/c he thought it was just a regular mirror w/ lights. all I had to do to get it to work was extend the power wire down to my fuze box. only bad thing is sometimes the direction is wrong. oh yeah I like the red lights too.

Looks good. I have a 1993 Camaro mirror on my car; it looks similar to yours. The extra lighting really helps... my car is pretty bright inside at night!

yea the extra lighting does help since my lights are red and not very bright, with the mirror lights it brightens things up a lot
