How do I get this freakin krazy glue off!?

On my buddies camaro there are a couple drops of krazy glue on the paint and no idea where it came from, I need a way of getting it off without hurting the cars paint because we can't seem to get it off without tearing the paint off with it, I was told nail polish remover would work, any solutions?

Yes, nail polish remover, with acetone, will remove it. I'd be very careful with the acetone on the paint though.
I've also seen a couple posts where nitromethane was tried and it worked instantly and cleanly. This is used in model airplane fuel, usually methyl alcohol + nitromethane in different concentrations. Some hobby shops carry this mixture.

Lighter fluid might work also. Will not hurt the paint either.

I haven't tried it myself, but I feel sure lighter fluid won't touch it.

the Ascetone will remove your super glue, UNFORTUNATELY it will also have potential to ruin (remove) your paint. Superglue is very similar to Acrylic, which is similar to paint... see where this is going???

You could probably get away with it as long as you do not let it soak... Put some on a rag, wipe it on, and wipe it off immediately.

What might happen is you will damage the surface of the paint, in which case you will have to polish that spot after the ascetone has evaporated...

Its your call on this one... Good luck

Whatever you try, I would put the solvent on a Q-tip, rather than a rag, so that you can apply it only to the glue and not the surrounding paint. Put a little acetone on the Q-tip and rub the tip on the glue spot. Don't use the acetone if the car has been sitting in the sun, it will evaporate so fast it won't have much chance to dissolve the glue. Cooler is better. You'll probably have to re-wet the Q-tip several times. Acetone doesn't hang around long.

Important: Hold a rag RIGHT UNDER the spots as you work on them so that any acetone that drips won't leave a long line on your paint! If the Q-tip is really wet, the acetone WILL drip.

IMO, the nitromethane will have less chance of harming your paint than the acetone. I'd DEFINITELY try that first. Let us know what happens. Good luck!

good point, Q-tip... I guess I was thinking of a larger area...
