Winsheild Replacement

Can someone with a Shop Manual look up and check the windsheild replacement section and tell me if Third Gen's use urethane adhesive or is it just butyl tape? My Fourth Gen shop manual shows them as having urethane. I took out the windsheild on my 83 (major restoration - 2 yrs so far) and it just had butyl tape but that doesn't mean that's what the factory put in.

Car: 91 Camaro RS Update: Sold Camaro, now own a "91" Corvette.
Engine: Corvette L98 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
I just had my original windshield replaced and the factory used Urethane Adhesive.

Thanks, the 97 shop manual says with urethane to leave the pinchweld as a "Primer Only" surface and to tape the pinchweld area off prior to colour coat application.

On my '86 I used urethane. I have a 92 manual here. They list using urethane in the procedure with a part number of 12345633 for a install kit {primer and urethane}. I'm not sure if that part number is still good anymore but thats what they list in '92. Hope it helps.
