leaky T-tops

Where is the best place to get new weather stripping for my 83 Z28? I really need to replace it all; around the doors and the t-tops and especially the deflector piece that hangs down over the side window glass. I've talked to the GM dealer but I wonder if there is a good after market product.

whelp, from what I understand the GM strips are the best and only ones to get if you do not want to have leaks... Thats what I have and I have no leaks period!!!

Actually when I installed them I had a few drips on the back seat, I used a little 100% silicone sealant and had no probs since...

Unfortunately they recently went up in price...

Thanks for the feedback.

That's what I thought but you never know until you ask. I've tried 100% silicone on the old ones but no luck there.

Peace

mine were not leaking between the seal and the glass, but between the seal and the body, thats where I was having problem, not now...

mine also leaked from the weatherstripping and the body and some black silicone fixed all that!!

only change your weatherstripping if it is dryrotted and/or broken up..

if te rubber is in good shape then your t-tops might need to just be adjusted, or some silicone to be used...

I much prefer the GM T top seals. I don't mind the price, I just don't want to ever do the job again.

My T tops stopped leaking when I installed SFCs on my '82. But I am going to replace them because after 20 years they have pretty much had it, and they both have tears in them when I got the car.

Thanx,ANDYZ28
