So you're putting on an '82 bumper? Only way to find out if the '82 bumper will work with the '91 honeycomb impact absorber is to try it out.
I used an '84 impact absorber with an '84 front steel bumper and '86 urethane bumper cover. (Parts car was an '84, found an '86 bumper in a junkyard). To get the '86 cover to slide over the bumper/impact absorber, I had to cut some of the sides of the '84 absorber off. It's funny how much stronger and how much more bulky the '84 bumper is than the '86 was.
But I never had to work on the back of my car. Let us know if they line up or not!!
